Text To Speech

Solutions For Emergency Alerting Systems

The Text to Speech products convert free form text messages to synthesized audible speech which is output directly to an amplified speaker or to a PA system. With the memory built on the microprocessor, these devices are also able to store and replay multiple recorded wav. (sound) files, from 2 minutes to 30 minutes in length.

These messages and control functions are sent over the air using traditional POCSAG Paging technology and can be sent on any onsite or Wide Area Alphanumeric Paging system.

With the features of the WiPath receivers, messages can be sent to individual receivers, small groups or zones, or all devices at the same time. This offers great flexibility for multiple building, large campus communications.

WiPath is able to provide Text to Speech (TTS) as options on the PDT3000 paging data terminal, PDR2000 paging data receiver, PSR2000 OEM board and ACU2000 alarm communications unit as well as many of the LED signs.

The SPPSF receives either pocsag or Flex paging signals from a wide area carrier or other local transmitter and retransmits pocsag locally or acts as a link for further transmissions.

It is also capable of locally switching up to 4 relays and monitoring up to 12 local alarms.

ACU2000-Alarm Concentrator

The ACU2000 provides 12 optically isolated inputs and 4 relay outputs for integration with paging system software or with other third party systems to provide indication of alarm events or send predefined message via an ethernet LAN to pagers or email.

The ACU2000 Alarm Concentrator is an alarm input monitoring device and remote control unit that monitors up to 12 input lines and communicates the input line state change or sends a predefined message via ethernet to either a nominated server PC, an i-Page Server , a third party monitoring or logging program or it can send an email. It can also communicate with other ACU2000 units for remote control.

Primarily used as an alarm paging system it can also be used for remote alarm gathering and transmission to other network based systems using standard protocols. ACU2000 units can also be used to remotely control each other by for example the alarm input on one unit activating a relay on a remote unit over an ethernet LAN.

Remote alarm indications can activate a local or remote relay action or can initiate an email message or a short message to either a pager, SMS cellphone or other mobile communications device.

The ACU2000 Alarm Concentrator can be interfaced directly via RS232 to any of the other WiPath Communications wireless data products such as Mobile Data Terminals and Paging Data Terminals.

Each ACU2000 provides 12 individually designated inputs and 4 individually addressable relays and can be daisy chained with additional ACU2000s via RS232 if ethernet ports are in short supply to create a highly flexible remote monitoring & control system capable of providing dozens of programmable inputs and outputs.

The ACU2000 may in some circumstances also be used as a serial to serial RS232 link over an ethernet network.

The WiPath PDR3000 Paging Data Receiver and PDT3000 Paging Data Terminal are both multi-function and intelligent paging receivers capable of receiving paged messages and processing them in a variety of ways including printing messages direct to a parallel  or serial printer.

These units are used by a wide variety of organisations including hospitals,  emergency services and businesses to keep a hard copy log of messages sent to their pagers.

Each unit is capable of monitoring a single pocsag or Flex paging frequency and a large number of capcodes.

For more comprehensive message logging and filtering see LogPage or Interceptor.

LogPage Message Logging Software for Paging

LogPage is a Windows based application used to log pager message traffic over a Pocsag or Flex paging network directly to a PC or computer network. It is available in single PC or networked client/server versions.

LogPage is designed to work with the PDT3000 Paging Data Terminal or PDR3000 Paging Data Receiver to monitor a single paging channel. (for multi-channel monitoring see Interceptor)

LogPage is equipped with powerful filtering and reporting tools that enable the user to automatically search through received page messages using different criteria and output the filtered results to the screen, resend it to a pager or other messaging device such as a cellphone or forward it via email.

Filters are setup which incorporate a range of criteria by which each message received is compared. LogPage may include an unlimited number of filters.

Capcode Filter Criteria

•  Select all messages sent to a specified capcode
•  Select all messages sent to a specified range of capcodes
•  Select all messages sent to any capcode greater than a specified value
•  Select all messages sent to any capcode less than a specified value

Text Filter Criteria

The user can define a word, a phrase or a group of unrelated words

•  Select all messages that contains a word, phrase or group of words or text.
•  Select all messages that contains a group of words or text in any order
•  Select all messages that contains a group of words or text in a specfied order
•  All searches can be defined as case sensitive or case insensitive
•  All searches can be defined as searches for partial word match or searches for the whole word only

Capcode And Text Filter Criteria

Capcode and text filter criteria can be combined together in a single search, and the user has option to combine them in three different ways:

•  Find all messages that match both capcode and text criteria
•  Find all messages that match either capcode or text or both
•  Find all messages that match either capcode or text but not both

An unlimited number of search filters can be set up and each filter can be displayed in a different way (different background and text colour), can raise a visual and/or audible alert and can be re-sent as a page message to an unlimited number of pagers or other message devices and/or as an email message to an unlimited number of email addresses.

Watchdog Alarm

LogPage has a Watchdog Alarm which is able to monitor the watchdog messages sent out on most paging networks (messages sent on a regular interval to a specific capcode) to detect failure of the network or transmitter. On detection of a watchdog failure, audible and visual alarms can be raised as well as messages sent to pagers and email addresses.

Reports

A powerful and easy to use reporting engine is included with LogPage to enable the user to develop customized reports of message traffic based on the stored message database.

The user can set multiple criteria for each report in a similar manner to the filtering criteria.

Each report can be stored as a report template and re-used many times.

The results of each report query may be displayed on screen and can be saved as a .CSV file which can be opened and analysed in a spreadsheet program.

The user can also set the program to run reports automatically at certain time intervals (days or hours) and send the results as attached .CSV files by email to an unlimited number of email addresses.

Interceptor - Paging Message Interception System

Interceptor is a system used to log message traffic over Pocsag or Flex paging networks directly to a PC or computer network. The software is available in single PC or networked client/server versions.

Interceptor consists a 4 channel receiver unit and a Windows based application which together are able to monitor up to 4 paging frequencies within up to 4 pre-selected frequency bands. Pocsag and Flex may be monitored on separate channels. (For single channel logging see LogPage)

Interceptor is equipped with powerful filtering and reporting tools that enable the user to automatically search through received page messages using different criteria and output the filtered results to the screen, resend it to a pager or other messaging device such as a cellphone or forward it via email.

Capcode Filter Criteria

•  Select all messages sent to a specified capcode
•  Select all messages sent to a specified range of capcodes
•  Select all messages sent to any capcode greater than a specified value

 ClockPage GPS Synchronized Wireless Clocks

Running cables all over a facility in order to connect dozens of clocks to a centralized masterclock is now a thing of the past. The ClockPage GPS synchronized wireless clock system allows analogue and LED clocks to placed throughout a facility to be synchronized to a GPS based central controller and uses paging as the means of updating. There is no limit to the number of clocks that can be synchronized using this system they just need to be within range of the paging transmitter. Each clock has an internal paging receiver which receives the time signal and automatically corrects the clock if it is out of sync.
